Join Us!
If you are a veteran and not a member, maybe you are thinking like I did. While I was on active duty I would never dare think of not looking after my fellow servicemen and servicewomen or not personally overseeing that they were getting the best of care.
When I returned to civilian life, I believed that veteran's organizations, like the American Legion, would always be there to watch over us veterans. They have so many members to voice the veteran's needs, they really didn't need my membership! Anyway, our country always makes veteran's & our troops JOB ONE!
I was wrong, except for the part that The American Legion watches out for us veterans.
Because so many veterans believe like I did, the voice of the veterans is getting smaller and smaller as our members receive taps for the last time. And without members, programs like "Housing for Homeless Veterans", and "Heros to Hometowns", "Troop Support Services", will soon disappear.
It is said that if you ever need help, just ask a vet. Well, I'm asking for you to help us support our troops, veterans, communities, and programs for our youth by joining us at The American Legion today!
